STREEEETCH!

One of my favorite parts of the day is when Anastyn wakes up and does her stretching. She makes so many different faces and curls her little legs up and the routine goes on for quite a while sometimes. I didn't capture half of the faces she generally makes but here are just a few. I hope you enjoy them at least half as much as I do!

This is a personal favorite!

First Trip to the Zoo

A couple of weeks ago my mom and dad came to visit us. Nathan was working, but mom, dad, and I took a trip down to forest park and drove around a little. I didn't realize how pretty it is down there and how much there is to do in that area. We finally decided to go walk around the zoo for a little while with Anastyn. It was a beautiful day and Anastyn did very well most of the time we were there. She slept quite a bit and had one little fussy period. Anyway, it was a great day with her grandparents and I can't wait until she is bigger and can really enjoy the animals. I have to give credit to the St. Louis zoo. It really is a beautiful place and the animal habitats are very nice. Anyway here are a few pics from our day.

Anastyn and I in the bird house. One short period of time when she was awake.

Enjoying the beautiful weather.

Before the zoo we spent a brief period of time in the art museum in Forest Park. As you can see she really enjoyed the peace and quiet!

A little out of it.

Randomness

Our computer has not been working lately so I have been unable to update the blog in the last week or so. Luckily, I have a very intelligent husband who can completely disassemble our computer, replace the bad parts, and put it all together again in working order. I must say, I am impressed. I don't really have much to say since the days are pretty much the same for Anastyn and myself. She wakes up and eats, then we play for a while, then she gets fussy and is ready for a nap. Besides the occasional outing, on which she generally does quite well, we repeat this cycle quite a few times throughout the day. She is definitely gaining more personality each day though. She loves to be talked and sang too. She has even started to talk back. We hear quite a few laughs and see lots of smiles. So far she seems to be a very happy little girl! And she still loves those kisses. I think she is about able to kiss back! She always turns her lips to yours if you kiss her on the cheeks. I must say that I love that, it is so sweet. OK, so earlier I said I didn't have much to say, but I guess I do have a few things. Once I start telling about her it is hard to stop! Here are a few more random pictures of our days.

Karen, this picture is for you. This is the outfit you got her.
Doesn't she look so sweet in her little hat!

She is 1 month and 2 days in these top two pictures.

This is one of my favorites. It doesn't show as well in the picture, but her pacifier is just about to fall out of her mouth. I often find her like this and it always makes me laugh.
It almost looks like a cigar hanging out of her mouth or something.

Nathan is quite a good story teller I have learned. Anastyn likes to
listen to him read her this story called "The Good Puppy."

Uncle Jim came to visit a little while back with Grandma Del.
Anastyn seemed quite content in his arms!

Cutie Pie!

Ok, so I know all of these pictures look about the same. But what can I say, she is so stinking cute, I couldn't decide. We thought she looked pretty in her little Sunday dress and she was so happy, so we took the opportunity to get a few good shots of her cute little smile! She is really starting to talk to us and laugh and smile. It is the sweetest sound I have ever heard when she coos and laughs. What a beautiful little blessing! We are definitely in love with our little bundle of joy! Here is that beautiful smile that we love so much!

Her cute little Sunday dress. Pretty in Pink!

Another cute smile. This is one of my favorite looks that she gives.

Daddy giving out kisses. This is one of her favorite things right now.

Anastyn's First Wedding

Anastyn attended her first wedding on August 9th. She looked beautiful, if I do say so myself! And she was very well-behaved throughout the ceremony. She was quite the hit at the reception, everyone wanted a chance to hold her. Here are a few of the pics. There are plenty more, but I had to stop myself somewhere! It is really hard though. Enjoy!

He was so cute with her!

I had to add this one because I never see a picture of these two together.
And this one turned out really good.

Bath Time

Here are a few pictures of Anastyn at bath time. She loves her baths. Especially getting her hair washed. It is so cute to watch her face when we pour the water over her hair to rinse it out. The only cries we hear are as we take her out, I think the cold air comes as a shock every time!

Here we are all ready to go. We have our adorable robe, towel, cotton balls, washcloths and bowls of clean and soapy water. Isn't she just precious?

I love this picture. You can see her little curls if you look closely. I think they are so cute!

Anastyn's first real bath. She was loving the water and being able to stretch out.

I am not so sure what this look is all about.

I just think she looks so pretty here. I love her face and eyes right after she has had a bath.

Not Doing So Well!

So, I am not exactly on top of things yet. But I plan on posting some more pictures tomorrow. Anastyn is doing wonderful. She is growing like crazy. Last week at her doctor's appointment she weighed 9 lbs. and 4 oz. and the doctor said everything looks great. She also commented that we have an early smiler. She definitely loves being talked to and love to see that smile so I love to talk to her. Anyway, I will stop rambling for now and save it for when I have some pictures!

Welcome To the Lansford Blog

Blogging seems to be a great way to keep in contact with friends and family, so I'm starting one and will do my best to update regularly. Currently Anastyn is 5 1/2 weeks old, but I'm going to start by posting her birthdate info.
