First Mother's Day and Camping

As usual I am a few weeks behind. We have been gone quite a bit lately and I am finally getting the time to catch up a little. This year was my first Mother's Day. I am so blessed to be the mother to such a wonderful little girl! We decided to go camping with some friends from church this year and it was a lot of fun. Even though it was kind of cold and wet, we had a great time and Anastyn got to experience her first camping trip and the outdoors! Friday night was fairly warm, but the rest of the weekend we spent bundled up. Anastyn was such a trooper and I think really enjoyed the weekend. I know I did and we have lots of pictures. I couldn't narrow them down, so I posted quite a few. There are still more I would like to post, maybe I will get them loaded into a slide show one day, until then here are some pics from Anastyn's outdoor adventure!

Helping us lay out the tent on a tarp.

Finding the grommet in the tarp fascinating. She kept sticking her finger through it and letting it slip off then doing it all over again.

Exploring our tent set-up. It was great that we could take her pack-n-play, set up a changing station, bed and still have plenty of room for all of the stuff we brought!

Bundled up and reading a book in her bed. She could have played in there for hours, as long as it was in the tent!

Rachel Foster, Anastyn's friend from church (and our wonderful Ms. Norma's daughter)

She loved walking around the picnic table. At this point she was still not letting go too often. (Now she is all over the place, I rarely see her crawl anymore!)

Just hanging out.

Daddy helping her walk.

Playing football with dad.

Playing in her bed again with her musical lion.

Trying to get dad to wake up!

Beautiful Rend Lake, our campsite.

Just thought that the sun coming through the trees was so pretty!

Just enjoying the great outdoors!

The only picture I have of me and my baby on Mother's Day! I am such a lucky lady to have such a healthy, happy little girl! I thank God for blessing our lives with her, she brings us such joy and I am so excited to see what the future holds for us!
